3# Brave Heart
Brave heart is a 1995 epic historical drama film directed by and starring Mel Gibson. The film was written for the screen and then novelized by Randall Wallace. Gibson portrays Sir William Wallace, a 13th century Scottish knight who gained recognition when he came to the forefront of the First War of Scottish Independence by opposing King Edward I of England, also known as "Longshanks" (Patrick McGoohan).
The film won five Academy Awards at the 68th Academy Awards, including the Academy Award for Best Picture and Best Director, and was nominated for an additional five.
In 1280 A.D., King Edward "Longshanks" (Patrick McGoohan) of England, occupies much of southern Scotland, declaring himself King of Scotland. His oppressive rule leads to the deaths of William Wallace's father and brother. Years later, after Wallace has been raised abroad by his uncle Argyle (Brian Cox), he returns to the highlands, intent on living as a farmer and avoiding trouble. Wallace seeks out and courts Murron, whom he knew as a child in the village, and the two marry in secret to avoid the custom of primae noctis. After an English soldier attempts to rape Murron, Wallace rescues her, fighting off other soldiers while she escapes. However, while he manages to get away, Murron is captured and executed by the local magistrate. Wallace gets his retribution on the magistrate by killing him; his actions inspire the local villagers to rebel against the English and capture the town.

Kingdom of Heaven is a 2005 action/epic film directed by Ridley Scott and written by William Monahan. It stars Orlando Bloom, Eva Green, Jeremy Irons, David Thewlis, Marton Csokas, Brendan Gleeson, Kevin McKidd, Alexander Siddig, Ghassan Massoud, Edward Norton, Jon Finch, Michael Sheen and Liam Neeson.
The story is set during the Crusades of the 12th century. A French village blacksmith goes to aid the city of Jerusalem in its defense against the Muslim leader Saladin, who is battling to reclaim the city from the Christians. The film script is a heavily fictionalised portrayal of Balian of Ibelin.
Most filming took place in Ouarzazate and Ait Benhaddou in Morocco, where Scott had filmed Gladiator and Black Hawk Down. A replica of medieval Jerusalem was constructed in the desert. Filming also took place in Spain, at the Loarre Castle, Segovia, Ávila, Palma del Río and Casa de Pilatos in Sevilla.

Troy is a 2004 epic war film written by David Benioff and directed by Wolfgang Petersen. Its cast includes Brad Pitt as Achilles, Eric Bana as Hector, Orlando Bloom as Paris, Diane Kruger as Helen, Sean Bean as Odysseus, Brian Cox as Agamemnon, Rose Byrne as Briseis, Garrett Hedlund as Patroclus, Peter O'Toole as Priam, Brendan Gleeson as Menelaus, and Tyler Mane as Greater Ajax.It received an Oscar nomination for its costume design. The movie is based on epic and depict the fall of mighty Troy.
In Sparta, Prince Hector (Eric Bana) and his young brother Paris (Orlando Bloom) negotiate peace between Troy and Sparta. Paris has fallen in love with Helen (Diane Kruger), Menelaus' (Brendan Gleeson) wife. He smuggles her back to Troy with him. Infuriated, Menelaus vows revenge. Meanwhile, Agamemnon (Brian Cox), Menelaus' brother who had for years harbored plans for conquering Troy (which would give him control of the Aegean Sea), uses this as a justification to invade Troy. General Nestor (John Shrapnel) asks him to take Achilles (Brad Pitt), to rally troops to the cause.
Odysseus (Sean Bean) visits Phtia to persuade Achilles to fight, and finds him training with Patroclus (Garrett Hedlund), his cousin.
The Greeks land at Troy and take control of the beach, landing their ships. Achilles and the Myrmidons kill many Trojans and desecrate the temple of Apollo. Briseis (Rose Byrne), a member of the Trojan royal family, is captured and taken as a prize to the Greeks, despite Achilles' claim to her.
Achilles and his Myrmidons do not fight the next day because of Agamemnon's unfair claim to Briseis. With Greeks surrounding Troy, Paris challenges Menelaus to a duel to settle things. Menelaus agrees. Paris is easily defeated, and wounded, but not killed. Hector intervenes and kills Menelaus. The Greeks charge the Trojan lines but are forced to fall back.
Agamemnon gives Briseis to his men, but Achilles rescues her. He carries her back to his tent and tends her wounds. Briseis then tries to kill Achilles, but realizes that she has feelings for him and the two make love. The next day Achilles is readying his men to leave, much to Patroclus' indignation.
